The move to make the wearing of face masks non-mandatory in closed areas is taken as the country gradually moves towards a new normal.

According to the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, the measure is also taken after seeing that the number of cases is decreasing unless there is a situation that requires it to be used. While the Minister of Health explained that the measure is made due to the high vaccination and immunity rate of the population in the country. However, wearing of face masks voluntarily is encouraged.
