Media Conference on Latest Covid-19 Situation

​In the past one week, the number of COVID-19 cases reported in Brunei Darussalam has shown a slight increase in which the average daily rate of cases was at an average rate of about 268 cases per day compared to 210 cases per day the previous week. A total of 45,365 ART results were uploaded to the BruHealth app within one week of which 4.1% were positive ARTs. This was stated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

As of 2nd October 2022, the rate of vaccination coverage of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam remains at a high level with 78.5 % of all citizens and residents of the country have received the third dose of the vaccine and 10.5% have received the fourth dose. 1 COVID-19 case has passed away where the case was not categorized as a death due to COVID-19. 305 new cases have been reported of which 304 cases are the result of ART tests and 1 case is the result of 110 RT-PCR lab tests.
