Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Forum

​The Southeast Asia Red Cross and Red Crescent Youth Forum serves as a platform to enable youths to discuss and debate issues pertaining to the evolution of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. The forum was officiated yesterday morning in Kampung Beribi. The 3-day forum is hosted by the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society with the support of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Cresent Societies, IFRC.

Officiating the forum was Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yussof bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, President of Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society. In line with the IFRC strategy 2030, the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement has prioritised youth as an important mechanism and tomorrow’s leaders in contributing to building strong national IFRC societies. The forum is joined by 24 youth staff and youth leaders in Southeast Asia, in which they will discuss and provide their input on current movement strategies, the IFRC and ASEAN Memorandum of Understanding and International Humanitarian Law.
