Second Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine

Since the National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme began on the 3rd of April, 14,876 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Of that number, 14,526 people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 350 have received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The Minister of Health received the second dose yesterday, thus completing the COVID-19 vaccination.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar received the vaccine's second dose at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital. Also receiving the second dose were the Permanent and Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Department, Senior Officers, Officers and staff at the Ministry of Health as well as frontliner officers. Currently, the COVID-19 vaccination is still in Phase One which is for frontliners; students studying abroad and senior citizens aged 60 and above.

Although taking the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory, the Ministry of Health reminded the public that Brunei Darussalam citizens and residents are still exposed to the risk of the COVID-19 transmission. Those wishing to participate in the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program can make their appointments through the BruHealth app or call the Health Advice Line 148 during office hours. The public must ensure that their BruHealth account is authenticated, and update their personal information in BruHIMS at government hospitals or clinics.
