The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has lined a programme marking the holy month of Ramadan.
Themed “Bahrain Bkhir Thanks to You”, features a string of activities aimed to support domestic and social stability and bolster women’s role in serving their families and country under all circumstances.
The programme focuses mainly on the role of Bahraini families as the Kingdom and the world continue grappling with the health crisis resulting from the pandemic.
The current situation requires utmost commitment and spirit of responsibility during the holy month of Ramadan, in compliance with mandatory precaution measures.
Indeed, the commitment of Bahraini families during this critical phase is crucial to combat the pandemic and curb the surge of infections.
SCW Secretary-General Hala Al-Ansari said that the programme aims to raise awareness and harness efforts to ensure families’ adherence to the health protocols.
She said that the programme would support other humanitarian initiatives, including the “Fael Khair”, which was launched by the Ministry of Interior to donate through e-applications for indebted people who face court cases and contribute to family reunions and stability in Ramadan.
“The programme supports national efforts to combat the pandemic, a drive which turned the Kingdom into a model for curbing infections”, she said.
The council launched a series of initiatives, since the outbreak of the pandemic, to provide family, legal and economic services under the theme “Together for the Safety of Bahrain”.
