To raise public awareness on visually impaired problems as a major international public health issue, the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind, BNAB, held the 'Dining In The Dark' event, 6th March night. The event was in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of BNAB and World Braille Day which is celebrated every 4th of January each year.
At the event, Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, presented certificates of appreciation to the sponsors. A sharing session also delivered by Pengiran Hajah Hijrah Mahani binti Pengiran Haji Abdullah, Head of the Visual Sensory Special Assistance Services Division at the Special Education Unit as well as member of the BNAB. The event was also to remind the public towards the importance and the use of Braille for the visually impaired in the country.
