His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday morning made an Unscheduled Visit to the Ministry of Health at Commonwealth Drive.

During the visit, His Majesty in his titah touches on a number of matters pertaining to excellent service to the citizens and residents through quality management and good administration, several Standard Operating Procedures, SOP offences made while facing the coronavirus, the issue of a lack of medical supply as well as the long waiting period for patients to receive treatment.

Among the two matters the monarch reminds on were, the administration must be hands-on, not just read of receive reports in the office and the study on the trend of government nurses moving to private hospitals. His Majesty in his titah says the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan launched in September 2019 focused on five main objectives, namely Excellence in Health Care Services, Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, Protection of Public Health through Effective Policies and Regulations, Sustainability through Resource Optimisation and Innovation as well as Transparent and Pro-active Governance.
