Workshop on National Policies on Lifelong Learning

Various developments and efforts are implemented in ensuring lifelong learning in Brunei Darussalam particularly through the Whole-of-Nation Approach in promoting accessibilities and opportunities of lifelong learning where all stakeholders are being actively engaged. This includes inter-ministerial collaborations as well as partnership between the public and private sectors. Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education stated this while delivering a statement on National policies on Lifelong Learning: Achievement, Challenges and Recommendation on Lifelong Learning toward Sustainability in Southeast Asia.

The Minister of Education also highlighted that as a result of a collaborative effort between the ministries, public and private sector, 'SkillsPlus', an initiative under the Learn and Grow Programme supported by the Lifelong Learning Centre, Ministry of Education was launched. Good governance and regional collaborations can ensure that no lifelong learner is left behind and the region can be developed in a sustainable manner. The workshop as part of the Seventh International Conference on Adult Education organised by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning was held virtually.
