Following the detection of new COVID-19 infections in the country, all individuals regardless of vaccination status are required to wear a face mask at all times especially in a building or in a crowded place either inside or outside the building. According to the Ministry of Health, anyone found failing to comply with the directive for wearing face masks can be fined a compound of $100 under Section 62 A, Infectious Diseases Act Chapter 204.
During a close look by RTB crew’s at the public places yesterday, the public are complying with the Ministry of Health’s instructions to carry out their social responsibilities, by wearing face masks to protect themselves and others from the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The public are advised to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures by practising preventive measures as recommended. Among them are practicing physical distancing and personal hygiene as well as proper coughing and sneezing etiquette.
