The Voting and Election of Penghulu and Village Head candidates is carried out with a new procedure apart from using the old procedure, namely through the application method of PMKK e-vote or e-vote for penghulu mukim and village head; tablet and ballot paper methods; as well as drive-thru. Those methods were apply throughout the district, began on 12th December. The voting and election of the Kampung Kapok Village Head candidate was held yesterday morning via drive thru at the Kapok Primary School.

The voting used tablet and ballot paper methods. Meanwhile, voting using the PMKK e-vote mobile application had started on the 10th of December. The only candidate eligible to fill the vacancy is Awang Shahminan bin Haji Abd Rahman, a civil servant in the Public Works Department, Ministry of Development. Present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman, Member of the Legislative Council.

Meanwhile, the Voting and Selection of Kampong Menunggol Village Head will be held on Sunday, 19th of December 2021 at Nakhoda Abdul Rashid Primary School, Kampung Menunggol. Village Residents and permanent residents aged 18 years and above are welcome to register as voters to the Acting Head of Kampung Menunggol, Mukim Kota Batu or to the Mukim and Kampong Institutions Division, Brunei Muara District Office, which is open until Sunday, 19th of December 2021.
