The selection for the village head of Kampung Sungai Besar, Serdang and Sungai Belukut was held today. Also held was the Voting and Selection for the Kampung Belimbing Village Head Candidate.

The voting and selection for the village head for Kampong Sungai Besar, Serdang and Sungai Belukut was held on 2nd October morning, at Serdang Mosque. Present was Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, Brunei Muara District Officer. The sole candidate for the position was 58-year-old Awang Haji Zaini bin Haji Awang Damit. The voting results were 145 agree, 10 disagreed and 2 were invalid.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon of the same day, two candidates competed in the voting and selection for the Kampung Belimbing Village Head position. The fiunction took place at Gerai Muafakat Tasek Sarubing. Present was the Brunei Muara District Officer. The selected candidate, Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, aged 58, obtained 496 votes while 59-year-old Awang Haji Hassan bin Jinal, got 21 votes.

Meanwhile, 91 residents of Kampung Labi Dua, Mukim Labi, Belait District voted for the village head candidate. Present was Awang Mohamad Yassin bin Haji Ahmed, Acting Belait District Officer. The selected candidate, 31-year-old Awang Muhammad Nurazri bin Haji Abdul Mustafah, received 70 votes.
