The First Meeting of the 19th Session of the Legislative Council in its 13th day yesterday, approved the budget allocation for the Ministry of Development amounting over $334 millio. Before approving the budget, the session heard a presentation on the installation of Modular Solar System at private homes. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development explained the matter as a representative of Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

The Minister stated there are already about 20 solar energy supplier companies who can provide solar energy system installation service to private facilities in the country and to date, more than 40 private homes are using solar energy. Yang Berhormat added the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office welcomes anybody wishing to install solar energy system at private houses and other buildings to facilitate a wider usage of solar energy.
