Uphold PNP’s core values, Acorda tells new police unit chiefs

MANILA: Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. has urged ranking police officials to uphold the core values of unity, cooperation, and unwavering commitment to duty in fulfilling their mission. He made the remark during Wednesday's turnover rites for newly-revamped police officers in Camp Crame, Quezon City, according to a news release from the PNP Public Information Office on Thursday. These include Maj. Gen. Neil Alinsangan, who was named the new director of the Civil Security Group (CSG); Maj. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr., chief of the Area Police Command - Eastern Mindanao (APC-EM); Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, chief of the Directorate for Information and Technology Management (DICTM); Brig. Gen. Prexy Tanggawohn, chief of the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR); Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, director of the Aviation Security Group (AVSEG), and Col. Joseph Arguelles, acting chief of the Peace and Process Development Center (PPDC). Acorda described the transi tion of essential leadership roles vital to the efficient operations and supervision of the PNP. He expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing officers for their exemplary service and welcomed the incoming leaders with confidence in their ability to uphold the PNP's noble legacy. 'As we embark on this new chapter, let us draw inspiration from those who have come before us and pledge to continue their legacy of excellence. I also encourage all personnel to extend their usual support to each of the new directors,' Acorda stressed. Source: Philippines News Agency
