Tutong Town Perpetual Project Development Initiative

The Tutong Town Perpetual Project and issue of inflation as well as increase in goods prices were among the matters voiced out by the District Representatives.

Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan in his deliberations said among the development initiatives are introducing a green and clean area in Tutong Town, reducing traffic congestion by providing pedestrian and cyclist pathways, maintaining and preserving historic heritage and cultural products found in Tutong Town and the use of renewable energy towards being environmentally friendly.

Meanwhile Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir also hoped that the government will be able to implement various initiatives to address the issue of inflation and increase in prices of basic necessities to alleviate the burden on families in Brunei Darussalam.

Yang Berhormat Awang Salleh bin Haji Othman, in his deliberations said that all parties should work together including Government Linked Companies and Foreign Direct Investment companies who play a vital role in ensuring economic development.

Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub said that strategic planning in using Brunei Darussalam's prominent heritage resources such as Taman Warisan Tasek Merimbun in Tutong District as the foundation to implement and establish a spin-off economy that is ecotourism oriented can be benefitted for the good of all specifically local residents.

Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann in his deliberations said that one village one product 1K1P entrepreneurs must take the opportunity to enhance the quality and quantity of their respective products so that it is always relevant and marketable.
