The Vietnam-Brunei Darussalam Trade, Culture, Food and Arts Fair is currently being held at The Mall in Gadong. The 5-day fair is held in conjunction with the 30th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries.

The fair was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and His Excellency Tran Van Koa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the country. Earlier, His Excellency Tran Van Koa in his speech said the bilateral relations between Viet Nam and Brunei Darussalam have developed profoundly and extensively over the past three decades. The fair aims to further enhance cooperative opportunities between businesses from both sides, as well as to promote the cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
