Belait district is known as the country's most important resource producer and a focal destination for ecotourism activities. The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism stated this during the Belait District Tourism Product Package Launching Ceremony which took place at the Tropical Biodiversity Centre, yesterday morning.

Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab said several products and activities carried out by members of the Kampung Consultative Council, MPK has been introduced and has the potential to be a visitor attraction in the Belait District. The ceremony followed by the tree planting and Trek visits at the Tropical Biodiversity Centre, Luagan Lalak Recreational Park and Mendaram Besar Longhouse in Kampung Labi. The launching of the Belait Tourism Product Package is a continuation of the previous launches of the Temburong and Brunei Muara Tourism Product Packages. The event was organized by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism through the Tourism Development Department.
