Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD for the first time ranked in the top 250 of the world's universities 'Times Higher Education' THE in the subject of Social Sciences.

With the achievement, UBD is ranked 3rd in ASEAN, together with the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. The achievement is due in part to the quality of academic and applied impact of UBD's research. The main contributors of Social Science are training and research on social issues facing society. Through reliable and authentic analysis using more advanced research and statistically based methodologies, Social Science research contributes to understanding social problems.
