Following the increase in the number of cases and contacts, the Minister of Health explained that the Ministry is trying its best to provide the best services to the public. In this regard the Minister calls for the public’s cooperation to be patient and understand the state of services needed in fulfilling the current high demand.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar urged the public to speak politely, courteously and prudently to health workers as well as other front liners such as the 148 Health Advice Line, hospitals, health centers, vaccination centers and swabbing centers. The Ministry will not hesitate to take legal action against any threats or violence made towards health workers and frontliners. Meanwhile, the public are advised not to panic with the current pandemic situation. They are also asked to allow the Ministry of Health to provide more effective services by not visiting health facilities without purpose.

Apart from that the public are urged to prioritize those who really require such services such as those who are unwell as well as contacts for positive cases that require swab testing. Swab testing will not be carried out to those who have no signs of infection and not meeting the test criteria. Apart from that the public are also reminded to scan the QR code each time upon entering or exiting any premises, in addition to activating the current Bluetooth function in public places. The public’s cooperation will greatly help the Ministry of Health to conduct contact tracing immediately and effectively.
