Mr. Pittaya Pramoteworaphand Deputy Director General of the Pollution Control Department (PCD) and a spokesperson for the Pollution Control Department revealed that the announcement of the National Environment Board on setting standards for particulate matter no larger than 2.5 microns in the general atmosphere. Effective from June 1, 2023, the new standard for particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in size (PM2.5), the 24-hour average, has been adjusted to be more intense. from the original must not exceed 50 micrograms per cubic meter (mcg/m3), has been adjusted down, must not exceed 37.5 micrograms/m3 for a 1-year average from 25 Jan g/m3 was adjusted down, must not exceed 15 mcg/m3, which was enforced from the day following the date of its publication in the Government Gazette. That is, since July 9, 2022.
