The National-Level Islamic New Year 1443 Hijrah celebration will be held on Monday, 9th of August starting at 5 in the afternoon.
The Committee for the National Level Major Islamic 1443 Hijrah Events celebration in a media release stated that the celebration will also be held simultaneously at all mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide with the main focus at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong; RPN Pandan Mosque in Kuala Belait; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town; and Mohammad Salleh Main Mosque in Bangar Town. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Belia Berilmu Dan Beramal Salih Pemangkin Negara Berkat’.
Government officials and staff and the public are welcome to attend and are advised to adhere to guidelines as an efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, by Scanning the BruHealth QR Code; Perform ablution before going to the mosque; Wear a face mask; Bring along a prayer mat; Undergo body temperature checks before entering the mosque; use hand sanitizers; Always implement social distancing and shaking hands is prohibited. Only individuals with the green and yellow BruHealth codes are allowed to attend.
