The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah was established as a platform for charity or charitable donations of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the royal family members who are always concerned on the welfare and well-being of the country's citizens and residents. In this regard, a Donations Presentation Ceremony was held at the Yayasan Headquarters in Jalan Perdana Menteri, 5th August morning.

Present to hand over the donation was Awang Ahmad Jefri bin Abdul Rahman, Acting Managing Director and Member of Yayasan Board of Directors. Undergraduates of Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam received a $1,000 donation to finance part of the expenses of the Community Project on Colorectal Cancer Awareness. A $1,069 donation was also handed over to the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony Committee for pupils of Kampung Bolkiah Religious School to organise the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony. A total of $38,100 contribution were also handed over to eight families who fell into victims of house fire and natural disaster recently.
