Following the COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam, the Ministry of Health through the Dental Service Department has carried out a temporary closure and transfer of the dental services as well as relocation of several Dental Clinics.
Services at the Dental Clinic of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong is transferred to the Lamunin Health Centre Dental Clinic. Service at the Seria Polyclinic Dental Clinic is moved to the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital Dental Clinic in Kuala Belait. Services at the Labi Health Centre Dental Clinic is shifted to the Sungai Liang Health Centre clinic, the Berakas Health Centre Dental Clinic moved to the National Dental Centre, and services at the Pengkalan Batu Health Centre Dental Clinic is transferred to the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Health Centre in Sungai Asam.
In the meantime, as part of efforts in increasing preventive measures to protect health staff and patients who have appointments and receive dental services, the Dental service Department also informs that all dental treatments which are routine and non-emergency as well as appointments are postponed until a date to be announced later at all the service locations. The department states that presently only emergency dental treatments that do not involve 'aerosols' are carried out and this is subject to filtered inspections at counters provided at the locations.
