In conjunction with the Brunei December Festival 2021, Universiti Teknologi Brunei in collaboration with the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism has organized the Brunei Coding Conquest under the Digital Technology and ICT clusters.

This year, the Brunei Coding Conquest was run by the Grominda Sendiri Berhad, as the competition's facilitator. The Project Manager for Brunei Coding Conquest in a virtual interview explained that this year the hackathon competition ran for two weeks and participants were given a problem statement in which they will provide a viable and application-shaped solution. Throughout the event, participants are hoped to use the opportunity to learn, expand their knowledge especially in the field of technology.
