Sustainable Economy Forum

Brunei Darussalam is committed to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. This includes preserving the forest, transitioning to low carbon energy, adoption of green technology and the shift to green or alternative energy in various economic sectors such as agriculture, energy and forestry. The matter was stated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism during the Sustainable Economy Forum. The forum was held on 24th October afternoon, at RB Campus.

 

The Forum was organised by the ASEAN and APEC Business Advisory Councils of Brunei in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economy and in partnership with Baiduri Bank and AIA. The forum among others discusses the cooperation of the public and private sectors to achieve the commitments as well as understand the business opportunities in the green economy.
