In explaining the second focus, which is to support inclusive and sustainable national recovery, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy said that efforts towards enhancing the national productivity through the private sector will be prioritised.

Yang Berhormat further explained that the government will give priority towards efforts in helping the development and growth of the private sector by increasing the country's productivity in the economic sectors that have been identified through the development of local businesses as well as efforts to attract Foreign Direct investments, FDIs so that the economic spillover effect from the activities of the companies concerned will be able to offer more business opportunities to micro, small and medium enterprises, MSMEs in the country. Government-linked Companies, GLCs and FDIs also play a vital role in facilitating the government in making a significant investment to develop the country's economy through the provision of job opportunities to locals, increasing economic activities, contribute to the export values and support the second focus.
