Maqasid or Objectives of Syar'iah must be understood and made as a guidance in all aspects of life, whether by each individual or organisation, including the role of government and private parties. This is inline with the real objective of Maqasid Syari'ah, to protect maslahah or public interest, by prioritising the five core elements in Islamic leadership to protect religion, life, lineage, property and intellect.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated this at a workshop on strengthening Maqasid Syar'iah in Management and Administration. According to Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Maqasid Syar'iah is not limited to governance of religious services, but it is also applied in all aspects of services and leadership in the country. The event continued with a certificate presentation to facilitators and workshop participants. The workshop was a preparation for selected officers to become facilitators of a programme on strengthening Maqasid Syar'iah in Management and Administration in the country which will begin in May 2022.
