The construction of the Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge has facilitated travel and reduced travelling time as it connects Temburong District and Brunei Muara District. With the bridge, it also helps to foster stronger family ties, especially during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Since the bridge was opened, citizens in the country can now be closer to their families as travelling to Temburong District is now made easier. Difficulty to return to the hometown due to no passport, or not being able to get leave from work are no excuse to not return home for Hari Raya and visit families who are living in a district that is separated from the rest.

The cheer and happiness of returning home and visiting relatives can still be enjoyed despite the new normals. Several people expressed their gratitude as they no longer need to cross the border and wait in long queues to meet their families during Hari Raya.
