Quality teachers need to diversify their skills not only in teaching but also in extracurricular activities, in line with this year’s Teacher’s Day Celebration theme, ‘Quality Teachers Spurs Educational Transformation’. This was acknowledged by several recipients of the Teacher’s Day ‘Special Mention’ Award in conjunction with the 32nd Teacher’s Day Celebration. 79 teachers received the awards at a ceremony which took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, yesterday morning.
The awards were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Also presenting the awards was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education as Co-Advisor of the Awards Presentation Ceremony. The recipients comprise the special mention teacher’s day award recipients in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
