Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD's Sports Complex has now been upgraded with renewable technologies targeted to create a healthy lifestyle environment and engagement of the community including the university's staff and lecturers. The sports complex will be operated under the management of OSCO Sendirian Berhad.
The Project Manager of OSCO Sendirian Berhad, Jimmy Chan in his opening remarks among others said the facilities at the sports complex will adopt energy efficiency programmes and cost-effective measures aimed to reduce energy-consumption, environmental impact and operations cost. It has also created 25 direct jobs in which 80 per cent are filled with locals. The soft launching was officiated by Datin Doctor Dayang Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina Binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, Vice Chancellor of UBD.
