Socialisation On Responsibilities As a Company Director

The Ministry of Finance and Economy through the Registry of Companies and Business Names Division (ROCBN) in collaboration with Revenue Division, Tabung Amanah Pekerja, Ministry of Finance and Economy and Labour Department, Ministry of Home Affairs conducted a socialisation programme on responsibilities as a Company Director for newly appointed Company Directors in the year 2021 and 2022. The session was held on Wednesday, 26th October 2022 at Theatre Hall, Ministry of Finance and Economy.

 

The socialisation programme was a platform for Company Directors to further understand their roles and responsibilities under respective acts and legislations under the purview of ROCBN, Revenue Division, Tabung Amanah Pekerja, Ministry of Finance and Economy and Labour Department, Ministry of Home Affairs. In addition to this, the session was conducted to inform on the latest business environments trends to ensure conducive business and investment climate time to time.

 

The session commenced with a talk on Responsibilities of a Company under the Companies Act (CAP. 39) and Companies Act (Amendment) Order, 2020 dan Companies (Register of Controllers and Nominee Directors) Rules, 2020 presented by Assistant Registrar, Yang Mulia Dk Asmaa Hani binti Pg Omarali. This was followed by a presentation on the Overview of Corporate Tax in Brunei Darussalam and Understanding the Importance of Keeping Books of Accounts that was presented by Yang Mulia Dayang Khairunnisa binti Dr Haji Hashim, Senior Finance Officer, Revenue Division; Employer’s Responsibilities under the Employment Order, 2009 presented by Yang Mulia Awang Md Zulfadhli bin Suhai, Senior Labour Inspector from Labour Department, Ministry of Home Affairs and Tabung Amanah Pekerja’s Enforcement that was presented by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Md Nur Aiman bin Haji Aminnuddin, Assistant Manager Enforcement.
