On issue of the differences in the Financial Regulation that will be enforced starting on the coming 1st of April, raised by Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy shared that updating of the Financial Regulation takes into account several matters.

The Financial Regulation 1983 was too comprehensive and difficult to understand. The updated or new format will be simpler, compact and easier to understand. Another important issue is a topic on the duties of Controlling Officers and Accounting Officers. In the Financial Regulation 2022, the duties and responsibilities of those officers are outlined in detail. Meanwhile the methods of revenue collection and payment of Government money in the new regulation, revenue collection and payment is done electronically.
