Also shared were details of the Identity Card; Birth, Death and Adoption Services as well as Application for Entry Permit and Citizenship.
The Minister of Home Affairs also shared that for Smart Identity Card Services, Application for Registration of Smart Identity Card for individuals who have reached 12 years old, which is for Brunei citizens and Permanent Residents only; Application for Renewal of lost Smart Identity Card; Application for Registration and Renewal of Smart Identity Card which needs to be renewed for essential matters only can be made through bookings via email and telephone. For the collection of Smart Identity Card can be made through bookings via the hotline. The Department of Immigration and National Registration will extend the operating hours of the Identity Card service counters at the Headquarters until 3:30 in the afternoon during office hours. In addition, the Department will also open a registration counter on public holidays, which is Friday from 8:15 to 11:00 in the morning at the Department's Headquarters and Kuala Belait Branch only.
Meanwhile for Birth, Death and Adoption Services, the Application for registration of Birth, Death and Adoption Certificates; Retrieval of Birth, Death and Adoption certificates can be made through booking via email and telephone hotline. The Department of Immigration and National Registration will extend its services by using the Dewan Muhibah, Brunei Muara District Office, and Persiaran Multipurpose Building, Kuala Belait for birth certificate and death certificate registration services which will begin on Friday, the 26th of November 2021. The Application for Entry Permit and Citizenship which is for Entry Permit application to obtain Permanent Resident status and the extension of Re-entry Permit and Visa as well as Citizenship application will be reopened using the drop box.
