To enliven His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 76th Birthday Celebration, the Information Department yesterday morning held the 'Semarak Hari Keputeraan' Programme at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.

Present was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd. Salleh, Minister of Education. The programme was highlighted with a special talk titled 'Wanita dan Kemajuan Ummah' or Women and Ummah Development. The talk touched on the role of women in the country and ummah's development. The programme organised by the Nationhood Unit is hoped to raise awareness of the role and responsibilities of the people to the Monarch and also to the country's leaders.
