Also in conjunction with the 5th Brunei December Festival, the Museums Department organised a sales promotion of the department's publications. The promotion held until the 31st of December offers special discounts as well as bundle sales.

According to Ampuan Walid Rasyidin Bin Ampuan Hussain, the Museums Department has taken the initiative to promote the sale of published books with discounts of 20 to 80 percent. Books such as the Brunei Museum Journal and monographs which cost 10 dollars are now sold for only 2 dollars. In addition bundle sales of books according to certain genres such as monographs and journals, culture and museum-related are also provided.

However the purchase of books must be booked online. The department provides purchase forms and procedures for purchasing books at the Museums Department's website. The collection time for books ordered is from 8 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon during working hours.
