According to the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, the extension is also to allow the government to ensure that cases and the bed occupancy rate at isolation centres remain low, enhancing the coverage of booster dose administration and the implementation of vaccinations for children aged 5 to 11.

Yang Berhormat said the government highly appreciates the good response from the public towards the booster dose vaccination programme. All this is due to cooperation from all parties especially the citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam who are always working together in complying with the guidelines from the Ministry of Health, including their continuous support for the government's efforts in together carrying out their respective responsibilities.
