The online learning system during the COVID-19 outbreak continues to gain support from various parties. Yesterday, several companies contributed 422 units of notebook computers and laptops. The donation presentation ceremony was held yesterday morning at the Ministry of Education. All of the donations were received by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education. Also present was Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education.
Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad donated 42 units of notebooks and laptops presented by its Commercial Director, Dayang Farida Talib.
Meanwhile, Bahteramas Holdings presented 130 units, handed over by its Chairman, Awang Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa.
Adinin Group of Companies donated 100 units which were handed over by its Managing Director, Awang Musa Adinin.
Another 70 units were contributed by Komputer Wisman Sendirian Berhad, presented by its Managing Director, Awang Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Ahai.
Whereas Muhammad Luqman Hakeem, General Manager of ATDC presented 25 units; and Muhammad Afiq Musa, Director of Aisha Automation Sendirian Berhad handed over another 25 units.
Joffren Omar Company Sendirian Berhad donated 30 units of notebooks and laptops, presented by its Managing Director, Pengiran Md Noor Joffren bin Pengiran Omar.
The Ministry of Education also received 18 thousand pieces of face masks donated by Momo Insurance Agency; Dreamcars88 Enterprise and Digi-Mark Enterprise. The donation drive to collect ICT devices to support online learning for students in need is still open until the 14th of May 2020. The donations can be dropped-off at IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus in Jalan Muara and IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus in Kuala Belait. Source: Radio Television Brunei
