Quality education covers aspects of pedagogy and the development of education holistically to produce students who are balanced intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically. In line with the dynamic global currents of change, the education system in the country needs to be adapted to the development of students and the current needs as well as skills required in the 21st century. The view was shared by Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam binti Pengiran Haji Matarsat, Recipient of the Meritorious Teacher Award in conjunction with the 29th Teacher's Day Celebration in 2019.

Pengiran Datin Paduka Hajah Mariam said Quality Education with Quality Teachers as leaders and teachers who are highly knowledgeable and skilled will be able to produce students who are more excellent and able to compete globally. Quality education is important as the core of student education because excellent students will be able to contribute to the development and progress of the country, especially in realising the Wawasan Brunei 2035.
