To promote understanding on regional and international defence and security issues as well as the possibilities of broadening security cooperation among the matters shared at the Putrajaya Forum 2022 held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, MITEC. Also highlighted, the adaptation to new security realities in the development of civil-military cooperation as well as the paradigm shifts of social media and its effect on wars and conflicts.

Representing Brunei Darussalam to the forum was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Mejor General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence. Forum with theme 'Shared Regional Responsibility' was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein, Senior Defence Minister of Malaysia. Prior to, the Second Minister of Defence held a bilateral meeting over breakfast with His Excellency Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Republic of Singapore's Minister of Defence. Also in attendance, His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia; and Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
