Provide Cooperation to Curb the Spread of COVID-19

In the same media conference, the Minister of Health reminded the public to abide by all directives that have been issued to control the spread of COVID-19. The public are advised not to leave the house without an important purpose and if required to leave their house, they should not go to crowded areas and practice physical distancing. In addition to always practice personal safety measures such as wearing a face mask, frequent hands washing and practice proper coughing and sneezing etiquette.

The Minister of Health would also like to take this opportunity to call all parties involved, whether among the frontliners, staff from the ministries and relevant agencies, patients, close contacts, patients' family members, volunteers and the general public to work together and provide cooperation in the Government's efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country. To date, all the efforts, supports and strong involvements from all walks of life, including the Government and non-Government agencies in implementing all control measures have been achieved. In carrying out their respective responsibilities, a respectful attitude should exist to enable each person to play his or her part. With the current situation, there may be concerns that cause anxiety in the community. Therefore, the Minister added, we must avoid the dissemination of unsubstantiated information. In addition, to also refrain from creating and disseminating any recording either video or audio without permission from the parties involved; to respect the privacy of the case, the family of the case and the frontliners on duty. Let us stand together in facing the COVID-19.
