The procedure for wearing Face Masks and Hair Nets at food premises were touched upon during the media conference. The Minister of Health said, the procedure has been released by the Ministry of Home Affairs last May.
Yang Berhormat said the Ministry of Home Affairs released the procedures for food premises on the 16th of May, however the Ministry of Health in a press conference also stated on the use of face masks and hair nets. This is especially for employees who prepare food thus any restaurants or individuals selling food or drinks, either for dine-in or take-away are required to use facemasks. Under the Infectious Diseases Act, the ministry of health would like every premise preparing food or drinks to use face masks and those who are do the cooking must wear some sort of hair net or hair covering. Meanwhile the Ministry of Home Affairs requires the premise to check the QR Codes, and perform temperature checks, maintain physical distancing and 30 percent premise capacity.
