The Brunei Darussalam Arbitration Centre, BDAC, recently conducted a dialogue session on ‘Practical Considerations of the Peacemakers’ online.

The panel members comprising representatives from Brunei Darussalam, the Republic of Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia. The dialogue session was attended by 39 participants comprised of several lawyers from the public and private sectors, academics, law students and individuals from the ASEAN region.

Among the topics discussed included the role of lawyers in Court-Annexed Mediation and Facilitative Mediation and Practitioner Considerations on Court-Annexed Mediation. The dialogue session was conducted as part of BDAC’s ongoing promotion of alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation to the public.
