6,125 senior citizens have received the COVID-19 vaccine since the injection slot reservation is open for the group on the 22nd of April. Another oldest senior citizen, aged 99, received the COVID-19 vaccine injection yesterday afternoon.

Dayang Hajah Kulam binti Tahir from Kampung Katok, Tungku received the first dose of COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine through the BruHealth application. Aged 99, she received the vaccine injection at the COVID-19 Vaccination Center at the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, Tutong with her children.

According to the Ministry of Health, the more people receiving the vaccine, the closer the country in achieving the Herd Immunity which can prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect those who could not receive the vaccine.
