Several foreigners were detained for a number of offences in the 'Operasi Sepadu' conducted by the law enforcement agency, 12th July night. The operation was concentrated on two separate locations in Belait District.
The operation jointly conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force; Royal Customs and Excise Department; Department of Immigration and National Registration; and the Narcotics Control Bureau. Various offences were found involving contraband as well as arrests made on several individuals for investigation. Six foreign nationals were detained for possession of contraband namely cigarettes. Meanwhile, 29 foreign nationals were found with expired identification cards and six others were issued special passes for immigration offences.
