The issue of ethics and professional standards in the legal profession was addressed by Yang Amat Arif Dato Seri Paduka Steven Chong, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court at the Opening of the Legal Year 2023, yesterday morning. Yang Amat Arif said, according to data provided by the Law Society of Brunei Darussalam, there were 23 complaints heard by the Inquiry Committee from 2018 to 2022, of which 3 were investigated by the Disciplinary Committee.
