Opening of the Finals of National Level Musabaqah Al-Quran for Adults

The first night of the Finals of the National Level Musabaqah Al-Quran for Adults 1442 Hijrah/2021 commenced yesterday evening with 3 qari and 3 qariah presenting their readings.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as the Chairman of the Musabaqah Executive Committee, as well as other committee members. Also in attendance were His Royal Highness the Crown Prince's brothers, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malik AND His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen.

The ceremony began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

The Minister of Religious Affairs, in his welcoming address, among others presented the progress of tilawah tarannum training programme which has produced numerous talented young qaris and qariahs.

The Musabaqah Al-Qur'an is held for 3 consecutive nights. The first night saw 6 participants presenting their readings namely Awang Abdul Mu'in bin Haji Abdul Hamid; Dayang Siti Zahrina bini Abdul Wahab; Haji Awang Mohd Fikri bin Haji Awang Metussin; Dayang Hajah Nurul Akmalina binti Haji Yahya; Awang Mohammad bin Ali; And Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki.
