Opening Of Basic Advocacy Course

The Basic Advocacy Course provide professionally qualified legal graduates with knowledge and experience related to advocacy in order to improve the preparation of these professionally qualified legal graduates to excel in their legal career.

The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office stated this at the Opening Ceremony of the Course, yesterday morning. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud said the competition for employment in the legal field has become increasingly tight and challenging as the number of law graduates with professional qualifications, from Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA or from foreign institutions are increasing from year to year.

The course is delivered by speakers and trainees who are specialized and experienced in the area of advocacy in both the criminal and civil laws. The two day course is organised by the Prime Minister's Office with the cooperation of the Attorney General's Chambers, Civil Court and the Law Society of Brunei Darussalam.
