The Language and Literature Bureau through the Research, Documentation and Recognition Division will conduct the Old Language and Sentence Research Project in all four districts starting next month. A briefing on the project operation was held yesterday morning at the Language and Literature Bureau Library in Kampung Pandan, Kuala Belait.

The research project, among others, tracks the existence of old languages and sentences that were once spoken and used by the people of Brunei to be reintroduced in the use of the Malay language at present and in the future. The briefing was attended by Penghulu Mukims and Village Heads in the district.
