Official Opening of New Security Education Centre Building

The launching of the new Security Education Centre, PPS, building, Defence Security Branch, Defence Minister's Office and Directorate Strategic Planning took place at Bolkiah Garrison. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam officiated the centre's New Building. Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; and His Royal Highness 920 Major Udara Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

Upon arrival at the Ministry of Defence Building, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence; and Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.

His Majesty received the Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by 6 officers and 105 other rank personnel of the Second Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force and led by Major Pengiran Abdul Hadi bin Pengiran Idris from the Royal Guards Regiment.

His Majesty was later invited for the opening of the New PPS Building.

The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Commander Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Royal Brunei Navy, Acting Director of RBAF Religious Directorate.

Doa Selamat was recited by the Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate.

His Majesty then proceeded to the Gallery to view the security exhibits, and visited the PPS library and lecture rooms.

Also visited were the Administrative Office and PPS Instructors' Office. Among the facilities available at the PPS Building are a surau and meeting room.

Before leaving the ceremony, His Majesty proceeded to sign the Royal Parchment and received a pesambah from the Defence Minister's Office and Directorate Strategic Planning.
