Participation in the Preliminary Round of the National Level Youth Tilawatil Quran Musabaqah 1444 Hijrah is now open. The Musabaqah which is organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Department of Youth and Sports will be held from the 10th until 13th of May 2023.

According to the Ministry's press release, the participation is open to the citizens of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam or permanent residents who hold purple smart cards and do not hold of foreign countries. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years old and born between 1st January 1993 to 31st December 2008 and have never won any competitions such as the International Al-Quran Reading organised by Malaysian Government or the Southeast Asia Youth Quran Reading Musabaqah organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
