The Department of Housing Development, Ministry of Development will continue to build houses for the people under the National Housing Scheme. Expenditure has been allocated to continue several Housing Projects under the 11th National Development Plan.

One thousand terrace houses are being constructed under Kampung Lugu National Housing Scheme, RPN project and are expected to be completed in 2023. 750 houses will be built under RPN Kampung Tanah Jambu and construction will commence in the middle of this year. Meanwhile, 240 units from the 10 block 300 H40 apartment houses or flats in Kampung Lambak have been occupied, while the rest are expected to be occupied soon. Besides that the Ministry of Development with the cooperation of the Ministry of Finance and Economy will continue to explore other alternatives for building sustainable housing. This includes through the method of Private Public Partnership PPP or through the Housing Developer Scheme in providing housing lots with potential to be developed.
